Harvey E. Lighthouse, M.S.E., P.E.

Civil Engineer

Harvey Lighthouse has worked at Harms Engineeing, Inc (HEI). since 1995 and is the lead engineer for structural projects.  He works with scores of contractors, architects, designers and business owners to produce the design and specifications of structural components for commercial and residential structures, fabric covered buildings, churches and schools.

In addition, Harvey is often called on to provide objective and practical structural evaluations and/or failure analysis for contractors, owners, insurance claims adjusters and attorneys.  These services include:

  • Evaluation of the structural integrity of existing structures with or without preparation of modification recommendations; or
  • Failure assessment of structures and structural components.  These assessments may require root cause analysis, detailed reports and recommendations for repair.
  • Expert witness services

Prior to working for HEI, Harvey worked for ICF Kaiser Hanford from 1992 - 1995 where his responsibilities included structural design and specifications for concrete structures, and evaluation of existing steel frame buildings for conformance to seismic load requirements.
