Christine Batayola, M.S.E., P.E.

President & Principal Engineer

Christine is the President and owner of Harms Engineering, Inc. (HEI) and has been working since 1996 in the areas of civil and water system design, project management, and construction monitoring and administration.  She has both a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington and is currently a licensed professional engineer in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California.

Since joining HEI in 2005, Christine has been designing improvements for water systems, preparing civil site plans, assisting in failure analysis, preparing traffic studies, and designing private and community docks on the Columbia River. Her experience and expertise allow her to see the big picture and manage the details at the same time.

Her water system projects have included nitrate and arsenic remediation, wells, booster stations, storage tanks, distribution systems, water system upgrades, comprehensive water system plans, capacity analyses, and feasibility studies.  She also has extensive knowledge and experience in applying for and managing State and Federal loans and grants.

Since 1996 and prior to joining the HEI design team, Ms. Batayola worked at Hanford’s vitrification plant construction project, at a major design firm in Erie, Pennsylvania, and for a major construction contractor in southern California.
